The Milkyway cometh ...

The MW season finally started 02nd September following the full moon the week before. The last week of Aug was very good weatherwise with warm days and clearsky nights but also bright with the full shine of the full moon.

September 2nd provided a small window to chase the long awaited Milkyway.

It was fortunate to have gone out that one night, the following nights were full of clouds ... typical Westcoast weather here in Norway. Hopefully there will be at least one or two MW friendly weather windows coming up for Sep, Oct and Nov.

Gear in use : Canon 6D with EF 50/1.2 and Sony A7R2 with EF 24/1.4, Star Adventurer. I had Sony A7S with Leica R Summicron 35/2.0 but aborted it's use when I noticed some excessive flares which later was discovered to be due to a UV filter attached. It's been a while since I shoot with any filter!
