August be the wader watching month in Jaeren

 This time of year coincides with the Autumn migration of waders after successful breeding in the north country. The coast will be busyn with adult breeding waders and slightly delayed juveniles travelling south. Some juveniles remain in Jaeren slightly longer before moving further south for warmer climes.

Apparently I missed what was actually a great season in 2020! This sort of made up some of it, but from now on I shall not let it slip my calendar again.

Gillie suits

 I finally took the plunge : i decided to invest in ghillie suit and a camo blanket for bird photography in the field. It will become useful hopefully for all season.
