Early Summer in the Mountains

Mountain cabin season openers is probably a great time to visit post winter skiing crowds. It's quieter at this time of the year with typically no one else around in the area. It's perfect if you want solitude. Parts of the trail may still be snowed over but it's beautiful none the less. The animals like grouse (winter feathers), jack rabbit and lemmings are also sometimes more visible at this time.

The famed lemming, I saw a few of them this season some scurrying about the cabin.
