Late autumn drive

It's been crummy weather since late summer, rainy and cloudy spells presisted till what should be called rainy season instead of autumn. It is still cloudy interspersed with rain and once in a while strong winds.

Typically I would have gone to the mountains three four times now chasing the Milkyway. This year I had to content myself with watching the clouds go by without a glimpse of clear sky. One or two in the middle of working work was less than ideal.

Before the mountain roads are closed for winter I managed to sneak out for a few hours to visit my favorite spots along the road to the mountains.

The final destination was at the dam by Fosseknuten, a mountain at 1000m. The views here are stupendous especially looking over the water towards the highest peak in Rogaland at 1400m. It's been three summers ago since we spoke about trekking and spending the summer up there. Three weeks seems ideal ... however there's always something in the way of realising this dream.
