Kpg Masjid

Decided to swing by Kpg Masjid, Kuala Baram for a spot of casual birding before going to work.

A subadult Black-headed Munia molting into adult plummage. These birds are so skittish here, getting a clear shot is a big challenge.

Striated Grassbird, they are now fairly common in the area.

Other notable birds seen that morning :

a pair of the cutest Blue-breasted Quail seen not 4 feet away from the car door.

a pair of Scaly-breasted Munia.

Empty Nest

An empty nest belonging to a pair of White-bellied Sea Eagle. One of them looped by the nest but decided not to land that morning. The pair is usually seen settled by the nest most evenings.
